9-15-08 The Silence of The Celery

I’ve been tagging new barn wood frames, new watercolors, new kiln-glass pendants. Should receive the first of several shipments of new organic t-shirts tomorrow. Tagging shirts is an all-day job, so once those arrive, I’ll stay busy for a while. Want to get all the preparations for the autumn crowds done so I can kick back and read a book or two … soon.

A/C went out at the store. Ugh. I don’t want to talk about that right now. But when the repair man climbed up on the roof, he found a purse. Yeah, a purse, a ladies' hand bag with a SALE tag still on it. I carried it over to Dahling It’s You next door. Turns out the purse was one that had been stolen. “Must have been a dare,” the ladies decided. Odd. (Actually, I suspect my house elf, but I didn’t say that.)

A friend who lives in northern Phoenix journeyed up to Sedona this weekend. We had a fun evening just relaxing out on the patio in front of the Old Marketplace stage and trading stories. Sedona temperatures have been mid 80’s this week, but cool weather blows in every evening as soon as the sun goes down . 50’s with a gentle breeze. Good idea to pack a pullover if you’re visiting Northern Arizona this time of year. Great “sit-out-and-watch-the-stars” weather. Sharon, who makes Sedona Green’s all-natural scarves, is preparing a new batch for October.

This past weekend, Sedona hosted the Raw Foods Festival at Raddison. I hear turn-out wasn’t as large as the organizers had hoped for, but it did look like a lot of vegetarians were in town. I have a sense for such things. (Do you think this will stop the celery’s screaming?) OK, just being silly there.

Lots going on, but I’m just too busy to type about it all, so I best let you go. Blog more later.

Next Sedona Green Blog scheduled for 9-22-08.
